There is little doubt that the FCB Escola and FCB Academy (La Masia) at Barcelona provide the best youth soccer training in the world. With a brilliant program, the Escola and Academy churns out incredible soccer players on a yearly basis. The result has been the wonderful displays on the field by the senior Barcelona squad as well as a great portion of players on the World Cup-winning Spain national team.

For young, developing players, great coaches and training is key. Americans now have an incredible opportunity to work with these very same Escola and Academy coaches through Barcelona Camps, a one-week day camp of soccer training that will come to several major American cities through the summer.

Barcelona Camps brings the world-class training to your city, and helps you learn the same skills and training techniques that have turned Spain into the most prominent soccer nation in the world.

After players are taught the essential philosophies of FCB soccer, which include respect and discipline, these teachings focus on possession soccer with an emphasis on teamwork both on and off the ball. Players will learn to pass and move as a team, while also being encouraged to defend with fight to win the ball back, just like they do it in Spain.

Additionally, Barcelona Camps offers an incredible incentive for campers this summer. At least two players from each camp will be invited to Barcelona for the FC Escola tournament during Easter week in 2014. These players will make up a USA youth team that will compete against the Escola players themselves.

This is an incredible opportunity that will enable players to show off their talents in front of a host of scouts from professional soccer clubs all over Europe.

The age eligibility for Barcelona Camps is 6-16, and each player will receive a full Nike Barcelona Camp kit and soccer ball, in addition to a certificate of completion.

With a chance to train under the guidance of Escola and Academy coaches, this is truly a wonderful opportunity for any young player.

As one participant stated regarding Barcelona Camps, “We have attended tens of clinics and the San Antonio Barcelona Clinic was by far one of the best! Very technical and to see all of it come together at the end when they scrimmaged . . . awesome!"

This description is the normal reaction that parents and coaches have when watching the players scrimmage. As the week progresses, the players are trained like the Barcelona youth, and the end result is a well-organized team of players that play the game with confidence, utmost teamwork, and incredible respect.

The only way to become the best is to learn from the best, and Barcelona Camps provides that opportunity to its participants. With both Elite and Traditional Camps selling out this summer, hurry up and reserve a place for yourself today!

Here are the upcoming Barcelona Camps scheduled in America this summer:  San Jose – July 8-12. New York City – July 15-19. San Antonio – July 22-26. Los Angeles – July 29- Aug 2. Portland – Aug 5-9. Seattle – Aug 12-16.
