Clemson: Top coaches, amazing facilities
June 10, 2010
The arrival of head coach Mike Noonan to the Clemson men’s soccer program is one that brings with it the excitement of his successful track record.

In 15 seasons at Brown, Noonan guided the Ivy League program to the NCAA Tournament 10 times. He has a great reputation for player development, and has helped many of his past players move on to professional careers.

It’s with this decorated background that Noonan leads his first summer of Clemson soccer camps, including the Premier Elite Camp II held June 17-20.

This special gathering will serve as an introduction to college soccer for a special group of young aspiring players aged 16-18, not to mention introduce Noonan to a batch of potential Clemson recruits.

This exciting event will unfold right on the Clemson campus where players will enjoy a slice of the college life while enjoying simulating a week of a student athlete.

The four-day camp will feature applicants who are rising juniors or seniors from around the country and many parts of the world. The camp is geared towards developing the "total" soccer athlete who is committed to performing at the most demanding levels. This training ground will focus on match playing, and help players apply the technical and tactical lessons they learn to the actual game.

In addition, the camp will provide daily seminars covering topics ranging from strength and conditioning for the elite player, the psychology of success, time management skills for the college athlete, short and long term goal setting, positive self - motivation and how to succeed in the admissions and recruiting process. There will be a college evaluation for each camper done by our staff and a college recruiting book will be compiled and given to each of our visiting college coaches.

Plenty of Division I, II and III coaches will be onsite at this rare opportunity for any player who wants to compete at the college level.

The Clemson campus isn’t bad either.

“The atmosphere of Clemson is amazing,” said Alex Prostko, who is also an alum of the school. “We have one of the premier facilities in the ACC. It’s a great opportunity for any player, regardless of where they intend to go to school.”
