2020 Boys IMG Academy Top 150 update
The IMG Academy Boys Top 150 Players for the Class of 2020 has been updated for the winter 2017 edition. The newest edition reflects the most recent feedback from club coaches and scouts across the country for this class of players.
LA Galaxy Academy star Efrain Alvarez remains the No. 1 player for the class. The midfielder is a prized prospect for both the U.S. and Mexico youth national teams in the 2002 age group. Alvarez looks to have a very bright future in the spot. Atlanta United standout George Bello is No. 2 in the class. Bello has proven his worth during various youth national team events and has been elevated to older competitions at the club and international level. Sounders prospect Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez is No. 3 in the winter update. San Jose Earthquakes player Gilbert Fuentes is the No. 4 player in this class. All of the players in the top four of this class have been elevated to a five-star ranking.
Eighteen new players join the IMG Academy Top 150 for the winter 2017 update for the 2020 class. Sockers FC’s Lincoln Lillwitz checks in at No. 21 in the new rankings. Lillwitz is one of the top midfielders from Illinois and a standout on the Sockers U16 team. Baltimore Armour’s Peter Mangione also made it into the top 50 after not being ranked in the last update.
Seattle Sounders midfielder Daniel Robles made the biggest jump up the IMG Academy Top 150 among returning players. The U.S. U15 Boys National Team member checks in at No. 15 in the winter update after being ranked 150 in the last update.
