Treston Kederer, Goalkeeper, Minnesota Thunder Academy
Class: 2014
IMG 150 Ranking: #142
Commitment: San Francisco(m)

The city, the coaches, the tradition. It was all there for Treston Kederer with San Francisco, so he made his verbal commitment to the program last week.

“San Francisco is an amazing city with lots of things to do,” Kederer told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “I love the big city feeling. I was also looking for a strong program with lots of tradition and a possession style of play that includes the goalkeeper.”

It was pretty tough for Kederer to beat the location of campus, too.

“Things that drew me to San Francisco are the beautiful campus and area and an experience coaching staff that I felt a connection with,” Kederer said. “Having specialize goalkeeper training every day is key to helping me reach the next level. USF recruiting me from the very beginning and I want to be at a program that really wants me as well.”

Kederer joins a recruiting class that includes three midfielders in Kamron Crow, Mitchell McPartland, and Guy Ahlo. The Dons beat out some highly regarded schools for the commitment of the goalkeeper.

“I was fortunate that I had quite a bit of interest from the very beginning of the process,” Kederer said. “I communicated with many and visited about a half dozen schools throughout the country. Prior to committing to San Francisco, I was interested and in close communication with Georgetown(m), Virginia(m), Michigan State(m), and Cincinnati(m).”

Eric McWoods, Forward, Lou Fusz SC
Class: 2014
Commitment: Xavier(m)

A quick and explosive player, Eric McWoods picked Xavier for plenty of reasons, among them being the campus size and student enrollment, not to mention head coach Andy Fleming and the coaching staff.

“[I liked] coach Fleming's ability to motivate and develop players,” he told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “[And] the coaching staff’s sincere interest in me as a player and their loyalty to the program.”

Also catching his eye was the soccer program’s move to the Big East, where it joins programs like Creighton(m), Georgetown(m) and Marquette(m), forming a promising soccer conference.

Grant Stoneman, Midfielder, Campton United
Class: 2014
Commitment: Wisconsin(m)

A midfielder who can win possession and distribute the ball, Grant Stoneman follows in the footsteps of his sister, who already goes to school at Wisconsin(m).

Of course, that wasn’t the only reason for making his decision.

“I committed to Wisconsin not only because of the highly rated academics but also because the campus is integrated within the city and has a beautiful lakefront,” he told TopDrawerSoccer.com

Stoneman also cited the opportunity to play and support other sports in the Big Ten, along with what the school had to offer its athletes on and off the field.

“I loved the support from everyone in the school and alumni,” he said. “The coaching staff complements each other well, too. I also like the style of play, indoor turf and grass pitch, and overall facilities.”

Other commitments:

Midfileder Bryce Flores (San Diego Surf) committed to San Diego State(m) for the class of 2014.

Goalkeeper Patrick Hagerman (Richmond Strikers) committed to Georgia Southern(m) for the class of 2014.

Defender Samuel Wancowicz (Baltimore Bays) committed to Penn(m) for the class of 2014.
