East Conference

It’s a doubleheader weekend for a pair of Southeast Division rivals. Capital Area Railhawks are heading to Central Florida and will play a pair of games against Orlando City SC. The Railhawks U18s are just three points behind Carolina Rapids in the division standings, while both U16 sides are jostling for playoff position.

Since a 4-0 loss against D.C. United in mid-March, Match Fit Academy U16s have been on a roll, rattling off four straight wins without conceding, scoring seven goals on the way. They’ll welcome both Richmond Academy sides to town, facing the Kickers on Saturday and Strikers on Sunday. 

U18 DA leading scorer and Carolina Rapids standout Tanner Roberts continued to find the back of the net last weekend, bagging a goal against North Carolina Fusion in a 3-0 win. Another big game is one the docket for his side, as they’ll face Charlotte Soccer Academy, which trails the Rapids in the Southeast Division.

The Northeast Division features a banner matchup between two quality programs, as Albertson SC plays host to the New England Revolution on Sunday. Albertson U18s hold an eight-point lead over New England at the moment, and will certainly aim to pad that lead while keeping the Revolution’s leading scorer Daniel Apajee at bay.

After losing last weekend for the first time in the Development Academy 2013-14 season to the New England Revolution, the New York Red Bulls U18s will certainly out to re-start a winning streak when they host Seacoast United on Saturday. The NYRB U16s are also on the move, playing well through most of the campaign.

The meeting between two Maryland forces this weekend – Baltimore Bays Chelsea and Bethesda-Olney – might not carry postseason implications for the U18s, it should be a matchup to watch for nonetheless. Duke-bound forward Jeremy Ebobisse Ebolo shoulders most of the scoring load for Bethesda with 16 strikes on the year.

The Philadelphia Union Academy is making the long trip to the Virginia Beach area for a pair of games with Virginia Rush. Both Union sides are knocking on the door of postseason play, with Morgan Hackworth the danger man for Philly’s U16s.

West Conference 

Making the long trip to Southern California is the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy side. The Residency program will face non-division action against San Diego Surf and Nomads SC. Crossfire Premier will join their Pacific Northwest compariots in Sunny SoCal, playing the same opponents in two days.

Also in action against non-division opponents is the De Anza Force. Firmly in contention for a playoff spot at the U18 age group, the Force takes on Arsenal FC and Real So Cal. 

Central Conference

Playoff chasing Crew Soccer Academy Wolves U18s face a pair of critical games on the road this weekend, paying a visit to Sockers FC and FC Wisconsin Nationals. Forward Ahinga Selemani is coming off a two-goal effort the previous weekend, and the Michigan recruit is certain to be a pivotal piece for Wolves once again.

It’s an intriguing matchup between parent club and affiliate in the Midwest, as the Chicago Fire duke it out with Indiana Fire Academy on Saturday. Chicago’s U18 will be missing U.S. U18 MNT call-ups Cameron Lindley, Mauricio Pineda, Shannon Seymour and Collin Fernandez.
