LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Disney Girls Showcase at the Disney Wide World of Sports complex came to a close Tuesday when teams vied for gold and silver medals in their respective brackets.

NATIONALS UNION 01 GIRLS BLACK (MI) 3, NATIONALS UNION 01 GIRLS RED 0

Marci Clark, Paige Webber, and Brooke Russell each scored as the Nationals Black team beat their counterparts in the Girls U16 USYS National League bracket finals. The Nationals Black team, ranked No. 1 in the nation for their age group, won all four contests at the Disney event.

"It was what we had hoped for and the type of competition the girls had allowed them to be seen by a majority of the top programs in the country," Nationals coach Jeremy Harkins said.

The Red team put up a good fight but the Black team demonstrated how talented they are, possessing the ball approximately 70 percent of the time. When the Red team attempted to put an offensive attack together, though, the Black defense, anchored by Eva Papista, turned them back.

Standouts from this match:

Nationals Black center back Eva Papista, who kept the defense in line throughout the entire tournament. Against the Red team, she was an integral part in keeping the opponent from taking just four shots on goal.
