Women’s college soccer is a repository for the stars. While most of the up-and-coming stars of the men’s game opt for the pro ranks and bypass college entirely, women’s college soccer still houses the world’s largest concentration of talent in the 18-22 age range.

So when top players leave their programs for the pros, those teams feel the burn.

For these five programs, 2016 presents a unique challenge all its own. Because these five players will be the hardest to replace this fall. All five have moved on, and each program could struggle to put pieces in place to replicate their otherworldly output from last year.
