Here is the Players To Watch Team of the Month in July for the South Atlantic region (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia).

Remember, this feature is to honor top performers in their region over the past month or so and across the span of age groups. There will be a boys' list and a girls' list, and a new region will be covered every weekday, Tuesday through Friday of each month. You can submit nominations at teamofthemonth@topdrawersoccer.com .

Following is the Boys List, in no particular order.

Cameron Moseley, Concorde Fire Elite, U16 (GA), Forward: At the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, Cameron capped off a spectacular season as a goal scoring terror by overpowering the U16 boys division with five goals. His efforts helped his Concorde Fire Elite squad beat California’s Albion White 2-1 during which he scored the opening goal seven minutes into match.

Kyler Kelsey, Concorde Fire Elite, U16 (GA), Goalkeeper: Kyler was awarded the U16 boys division Golden Glove trophy at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships this July. Kyler capped off a brilliant season by posting two shut outs at the National event and only two goals scored both coming from Albion S.C. White which Concorde defeated to take the National Championship.

Alexander Harris, Columbus FC Red Star (GA), U13, Forward: CFC Red Star’s Alexander Harris was named to the US National Team pool and recently returned from the National Training center in Los Angeles.

Benjamin Burdon, Charlotte Soccer Academy, U16 (NC), Forward: Benjamin Burdon was recently named to the South Conference Starting XI by US Soccer. Burdon scored 22 goals in the 2010-11 season and played in every one of the 28 games. He led the team in goals as they rounded out the season with an impressive 21-4-3 record.

Tanner Beason, Twin City S.A. 96 White, U15 and Noah Seach, Twin City S.A. 97 White, U14 (NC): Both Tanner Beason and Noah Seach were selected to participate in the 97 USYS Region 3 pool camp in July. The boys represented North Carolina at Region camp and impressed the region staff so much that they were selected to join the 97 Region 3 pool of players.

Shaq Moore, Cobb FC Premier, U16 (GA), Midfielder: Shaq recently was called into the 96 National Training Camp in Bradenton FL, to work with Wilmer Cabrera and Eric Imler of the Residency program.

Andrew Carelton, Cobb FC Academy, U13 (GA), Midfield: As an eleven year old playing up, Andrew displays a maturity and soccer intelligence well beyond his years. This young man displays a passion and desire for the game and has worked hard to improve his game during the last three years to becoming one of the brightest prospects within Cobb FC.

Nyambi Jbang, Cobb FC Premier, U18 (GA), Forward/Midfielder: Nyambi has fully recovered from recent knee surgery and getting ready to senior year with CFC. A versatile athlete with great pace, field vision and technical ability, this talented young man with professional aspirations will be a welcome addition back to Cobb FC Premier’s U18 squad this season.

Kyle Brathwaite, Gaston United '96 Blue, U15, Defender: Kyle is a dynamic center back whose technical skill and prowess rival that of some of the most talented midfielders and forwards. An anchor for the 96 GUSC Blue, his gamesmanship, size, speed and strength helped produce one of the most successful runs in GUSC team history and promotion to the Region III Southern Regional Premier League. Kyle was also a participant in the US Club’s id2 national identification program and an invitee to several international youth programs.

Curren Page, Gaston United '96 Blue, U15, Defender: An intuitive, versatile, flanking wing back helps strengthen a defense that has only conceded one goal for every 4.7 it scores. A very solid understanding of the game and an ability to read plays helps make this defender a top class prospect. Curren just returned from the Region Camp in Alabama and this first team NC ODP player will be a key contributor in this season’s run at state and regional championships.

Alec Anselmo, Gaston United '96 Blue, U15, Central Midfielder: A wonderfully creative and talented center midfield player whose speed, quickness, ball control, style and type of play resembles one of his heroes – Xavi. A member of the NC ODP first team, Alex was been invited to and played in nearly every pool game at Region Camp in Alabama, will help add dimension and transition both offensively and defensively to the GUSC team in this upcoming season.

Dakotah Millard, South Carolina United Academy, U16, Midfielder: Dakotah Millard was named U.S. Soccer Development Academy Performer of the Week in June. Dakotah started and played all 80 minutes in a 5-0 win against Kendall SC and in a 1-0 win against Weston FC. Also, he has started 24 of South Carolina United’s 25 games, contributing a goal.


Following is the Girls List, in no particular order:

Haley Stockton, Gaston United S.C. Blue, U14, Midfielder: Haley is an attacking midfielder who is aggressive and technical on and off the ball. She has been playing with Gaston since the age of six and she continues to develop into a versatile and creative player with great foot skill and offensive ability.

August Jones, Gaston United S.C. Blue, U15, Defender: August plays at center back for the Gaston United SC U15 Blue squad. She is a quick and aggressive defender who can play with both feet and can start the attack from the back. Calm and composed, she is counted on to lead the defense.

Reaganne Goode, Gaston United S.C. Blue, U16, Forward: Reaganne is the classic forward possessing speed, foot skill, athleticism and thirst for goals. She is a composed player who excels in 1v1 situations using her creativity and endless work rate to terrorize opposing defenders.

Valery Briceno, Gaston United SC Blue, U16, Midfielder: Valery plays holding midfielder for the Gaston United SC Blue U16 girls. She is defensive minded player who is also the team’s playmaker and can be counted on to start the attack from the back via her excellent ball distribution skills.

Gabby Rivera, Concorde Fire ECNL, U14 (GA), Forward: Gabby, a forward and rising U14 on the Concorde Fire ECNL team, recently returned from the U14 US National Identification Camp in Portland, OR. Gabby’s attendance at the National ID camp capped off a great season for this exceptionally talented forward with great speed and a passion for going 1v1 at defenders.

Goodwin Brown, Cobb FC, U13 (GA), Forward: Goodwin, a technical and fast forward who can score from distance and short range, provided her Cobb FC squad with exceptional performances this past season in Super Y U12 play.

Caitlin Tongco, Cobb FC Premier, U18 (GA), Forward: Caitlin provided her successful Cobb FC U18 squad with leadership both on and off the field of play as one of the captains. She has verbally committed to Georgia Southern University.

Kelly Ebert, Cobb FC Premier, U17 (GA), Defender: Year after year, Kelly is a solid and consistent performer for her club at right back. Her speed, ability to shut down the opposition’s key scorers and play the ball out of the back was a key to her team’s success this past season.

Hollie Cartwright, Cobb FC Premier, U15 (GA), Defender/Midfielder: Hollie, a versatile athlete who is both an aggressive defender and midfielder with great vision and speed, brought a contagious desire to win and compete at the highest level to her U14 Cobb FC Premier squad this season.

Erin Falk, Norcross Soccer Academy 93 Fury Premier, U18 (GA), Midfielder: Erin, an attacking midfielder for the NSA 93 Fury squad, achieved success by doing her own extra physical and technical and putting in the effort to improve her game far and beyond any other committed player. Erin’s hard work has been rewarded by Columbia University where she will continue her soccer and scholastic career.

Chelsea Gandy, Norcross Soccer Academy 93 Fury Premier, U18 (GA), Forward: Chelsea is an exceptionally talented, no nonsense goal hungry striker who has pace, strength and can use either foot to finish. Chelsea has committed to Auburn University.

Leah Beasley, Norcross Soccer Academy 93 Fury Premier, U18 (GA), Defender: Leah, central defender for the NSA 93 Fury, is a physical and technical player with a great reading of the game and superb organizational skills at the back. Leah will bring her “never say die attitude” to Georgia State.
