There are not many breaks in youth club soccer. Between league and tournaments, the calendar is full of events. For the U13, U14, and U15 age groups on the girl’s side, there was not any time to rest over the holidays with tournaments in ever corner of the United States. 

The champions from those big events jumped up the rankings in the latest edition of the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank. 

Surfs Up 

San Diego Surf retained the top spot in the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank U13 update. The Southern California powerhouse is 31-5-3 on the season and enters National Cup play this week as the top overall seed. 

Mountain View Los Altos Soccer Club 04 Barcelona jumps up to the second spot in the rankings. The Northern California team has been on fire this season and collecting trophy after trophy with dominant play all over the state. 

Cincinnati United Premier - Gold hangs onto the No. 3 spot. The Ohio club continues to produce some of the best players in the region and the country and the U13 team looks to be a special group for the club. 

Strikers FC OC EGSL Bull, Beach FC LB Arrache, NEFC Breaks, and Florida Elite were all close to breaking into the top 25 this week, but did not quite make the cut. They are on the watch list for next month’s update. 

Better in Texas 

Solar Chelsea SC - ECNL is the leader in the U14 age group in the updated Grande Sports Academy TeamRank. The Texas club has been leading the way all season. Solar Chelsea SC features a number of U.S. Youth National Team regulars and looks to be the squad to beat in ECNL play this season. 

Surf checks in at No. 2 in this age group. Surf is 8-0-2 on the season in ECNL play and sits in first place in the conference. The San Diego club returns to action in March after being on break since November from league play. 

PDA sits in the No. 3 spot in this month’s update. PDA is 11-0-2 on the season and returns to ECNL play in a couple of weeks against World Class FC. The New Jersey club supplied to two players to the most recent U.S. U16 Girls National Team camp. 

Scottsdale Soccer 03 Blackhawks, Colorado Storm, and SUSA NPL nearly made the top 25 this month, but they will remain on the watchlist for the next update. 

So Cal’s Finest 

So Cal Blues retain the top spot in the U15 age group for the updated TeamRank standings. So Cal Blues have put some dominant statistics in ECNL play this season. The So Cal Blues U15 team is 10-0 on the season with 64 goals for and only five conceded. 

Michigan Hawks take hold of the second spot in the updated rankings. Hawks are 11-0-2 on the season with 68 goals for and only 12 conceded. The Hawks scored 21 goals in their last three games of 2016. 

Real Colorado checks in at No. 3 in this month’s Grande Sports Academy TeamRank update. Real Colorado is also 11-0-2 on the season and rolling through the competition in the ECNL. They started 2017 with a fair of wins on the road as the team runs away with the division.
