Two U.S. women’s national teams under one roof.

The U.S. U20s will be preparing for this summer’s Women’s World Cup and the U18s are set to join when both teams occupy the Home Depot Center on April 10-17 in Carson, California.

U.S. U18 Women’s National Team head coach Dave Chesler will bring in 24 players. All of the players in with the U18s are age-eligible to compete in the 2010 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup and will be trying to make an impact on the U20 coaching staff with the possibility of an invite into events before U20 head coach Jill Ellis chooses her squad for the U20 Women’s World Cup in Germany.

The U.S. U18s will face UC Irvine, the U.S. U20s and a W-League team during camp. The U.S. U18s were most recently together at the La Manga Tournament in Spain in early March where they defeated the U19 squads of Germany and Sweden, but lost to Norway.

Ellis will bring 26 U20 players as she continues to move towards finalizing a roster for the Cup. Ellis brings most of her regulars in for this camp, during which the USA will split its squad to face the Ajax women’s club and the U.S. U18 WNT.

Ellis will have one more domestic training camp after this in May, followed by a trip to Germany in June before she selects her 21-player roster to represent the USA in Germany from July 13-Aug. 1. The Final Draw for the tournament will take place on April 22 in Dresden and will be attended by both Ellis and U.S. WNT head coach Pia Sundhage. The 16 teams that have qualified for the U-20 Women’s World Cup are: host Germany, Japan, Korea DPR and Korea Republic from Asia, Ghana and Nigeria from Africa, England, France, Sweden and Switzerland from Europe, the USA, Costa Rica and Mexico from CONCACAF, New Zealand from Oceania, and Brazil and Colombia from South America.
