ECNL weekend preview: March 9-11
March 8, 2012

The Ohio Premier Eagles ECNL U17 has its first true road test of the season this weekend, and it is going to be a very challenging assessment.

The Eagles head east to Virginia for conference games against the Richmond Strikers and FC Virginia, who finished third at Nationals last season and is off to a hot start this year.

“You look at FC Virginia and they’re sitting at the top of the conference, they’ve already got 12 games under their belt in the conference and they’re 10-1-1,” Ohio Premier Eagles U17 head coach Chris King told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “[FC Virginia is] obviously a very good opponent.

“FC Virginia’s record speaks for itself. I’ve heard a lot about them, very good group, very talented, so I think that’s going to be a really good test for us leading up to San Diego.”
