The day that college soccer hopefuls from the class of 2017 have waited for is here: National Signing Day.

Players from around the country set to graduate this spring will officially sign their national letter of intent to play soccer in college.

7:52 a.m. - Welcome to the 2017 edition of Signing Day! Numerous players from around the country are officially translating years of hard work and dreams of college soccer into reality. TopDrawerSoccer.com will be here throughout the day to provide all the latest news and updates as NLIs are submitted to college programs around the country. 8:26 a.m. - Auburn is one of the first programs to announce a Signing, as freshman Rocio Sanders is an early enrolee that's already on campus.

9:00 a.m. - While there isn't the same kind of suspense during soccer's Signing Day as there are in other sports, significant classes are se to become official today. Both Stanford men's and women's programs were ranked No. 1 in the latest Recruiting Rankings for 2017; if both programs can secure all their committed players, it will be massive for both teams.

9:20 a.m. - Transfers are a big part of Signing Day, and we've been tracking reported moves since the end of December. Make sure to check out our men's and women's trackers, and we'll post any other news spotted in the blog below today. Midfielder Eli Crognale is transferring from Belmont to Maryland. His older brother Alex, recently signed a homegrown deal with Columbus Crew after four years with the Terps.

9:30 a.m. - Wake Forest men's soccer is expected to grab one of the best classes on the men's side. They cracked open their Signing Day foray with the announcement of Kyle McCurley this morning.

10:00 a.m. - Few teams have done as much work as Saint Louis during the early signing period. The men's program announced the addition of eight signees already, with Signing Day still young.

10:10 a.m. - A few significant signees have been announced on social media for the men's side. Former U.S. U17 MNT GK Will Pulisic, who took a gap year to play with Borussia Dortmund's youth side, signed with Duke this morning. New Jersey star Mason Toye's commitment to Indiana is official. Toye is one of three outstanding attackers committed to IU.

10:50 a.m. - Official announcements are starting to pick up steam. Loyola-Chicago women announced their class, as did Michigan State men.

11:15 a.m. - While the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning FC Dallas and its youth academy are the recent signings for the MLS side, it goes far beyond that. The girls and boys program in North Texas is poised to send along an impressive 84 players to play in college. One of those is Abby Grace Cooper, an early enrollee at Texas A&M.

12:00 p.m. - It's mostly been quiet from UCLA in the lead up to Signing Day, the men's coach staff has been hard at work compiling its class of 2017. Along with midfielder Andrew Paoli (San Jose Earthquakes), FC Dallas CB Brandon Terwege has signed with UCLA. Goalkeeper Cameron Douglas is graduating early to enroll there in the fall, while Wake Forest outside back Alex Knox is transferring to the Bruins. Club standouts Eric and Milan Iloski are expected to be part of the class of 2017 as well, and play with their older brother Brian this fall. The team is also working on adding 2-3 internationals to the mix later in the year.

12:11 p.m. - Commitment announcements don't come often on the day itself, though Jordan Saint-Louis announced his decision to join a local program today. The attacking winger is a solid outlet up front for Bethesda SC in the academy, and should get some minutes as a freshman.

12:32 p.m. - Biggest news of the day so far has just dropped. Colorado announced the transfer of Jorian Baucom from LSU. The dynamic forward led the SEC side in scoring for the past three seasons, and is a savvy pickup for the Buffaloes.

12:38 p.m. - The West Coast recruits are starting to get in on the action. Cat Macario, the No. 3 ranked player in the class of 2017, has signed her NLI to play for Stanford.

1:00 p.m. - International signings are always one of the most interesting elements of Signing Day. Some players are announced the day of, while others never get a mention until rosters are updated ahead of the season. Cal confirmed the addition of New Zealand international Daisy Cleverley, a solid pickup fro the Pac-12 side ranked No. 3 in the latest Recruiting Rankings.

1:23 p.m. - The official announcements are picking up the pace. Alabama, Washington State, Kennesaw State and UTSA have all put out completed releases.

2:05 p.m. - Junior college transfers are among the sneaky moves to track, and can make a big difference once the season starts. The NJCAA Player of the Year, Danish midfielder Mikkel Rohde, is transferring to Kentucky for the 2017 season. It's a good addition for a team that loses Napo Matsoso from the heart of its midfield.

2:40 p.m. - One of the storylines to watch for in 2017 is the Pitt men's soccer program. Jay Vidovich, architect of success at Wake Forest for several years, continues to work to improve the level at the ACC school. The team's made nine additions already, including three on Signing Day. While it may not be enough to be in contention this season, Vidovich is a proven coach that will continue to improve the program quickly.

2:52 p.m. - Canadian talent is a big part of men's and women's Division I soccer. A number of players are flocking to programs in the fall, and the announcements are trickling in today. Ontario powerhouse Sigma FC is sending players to big programs, as Faisal Ghaffur will join Akron and Simon Triantafillou heads to Syracuse, while MLS Academies Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC are sending players to DI programs. Quebec native Fanny Pelletier-Laroche can look to make the same impact as freshman sensation Evelyne Viens did last fall, as the pair will be teammates this fall at South Florida.

3:00 p.m. - Speaking of South Florida, the women's program officially announced a 12-player signing class. Same with the Rice women's soccer program, and South Carolina men.

3:15 p.m. - The 2016 national runners up West Virginia relied heavily on international talent. Part of this year's class includes a Spanish attacker, a name to keep an eye on for the fall.

3:35 p.m. - Releases from Davidson (W), Arkansas, Richmond and Syracuse (M) have made their respective classes official.

3:45 p.m. - A big story last fall, Portland men's soccer team enjoyed a strong turnaround under new head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt. While the program's yet to put anything officially out, at least three internationals are heading to the Pacific Northwest in the fall: Kevin Capelao (Portugal), Lucas Van Eynde (Belgium) and Iray Hamuli (DR Congo).

4:04 p.m. - By their recent standards, it was a down year on the Hilltop for Georgetown men's soccer. This year's Signing class is up there with the nation's best, even if it doesn't posses the same high-end talent that some of their recent groups. One of their signees that should contribute immediately is defender Sean O'Hearn, ranked No. 46 in the boys IMG Academy Top 150.

4:10 p.m. - Expected to secure another top five recruiting class, the Duke women's soccer program has confirmed the additions of Gabrielle Brummett (No. 37 in the IMG Academy 150) and Tess Boade (No. 44). While the team has some holes to fill, the group they have committed should help them address some of those concerns right away.

4:19 p.m. - With Mason Toye already confirmed, another talented attacker's commitment is official. New England Revolution forward Justin Rennicks signed on with the Hoosiers. Rennicks was recently called into U.S. U18 MNT camp in Florida, and along with Toye and the just announced Griff Dorsey, should provide a formidable offensive threat for the Big Ten side.

4:25 p.m. - In a bid to jump back into the top of the ACC, Wake Forest women's soccer has added a strong class, highlighted by ranked recruits Ryanne Brown (No. 20 in the IMG Academy 150) and Abby McNamara (No. 72). Both signed today and should see minutes right away.

4:30 p.m. - The tricky element to men's soccer recruiting is felt most in MLS Academies. While some players may sign on the dotted line today, there's always a chance that a homegrown deal sways a player from ever stepping foot on campus. Furman secured Atlanta United's Lagos Kunga, as the No. 15 ranked recruit signed his NLI. The question becomes whether or not he makes it there.

5:00 p.m. - With time running towards the end of businesses hours on the East Coast, the steady steam of announcements continues. Clemson (M), Texas State, William & Mary (W), Eastern Washington, Bryant (W), Lafayette (W) and UNC Wilmington (M) have all put out official releases.

7:00 p.m. - The MLS Academies approach Signing Day in various ways, with some releasing information today and others coming out after the fact. The aforementioned FC Dallas release featured 84 players, and other teams have joined the fray today. D.C. United is sending 12 players to Division I programs, the Chicago Fire and its affiliates are sending 53 players, six from Atlanta United, nine from the New England Revolution, 37 players from the boys and girls teams at Orlando City and 10 from the San Jose Earthquakes.

9:00 p.m. - The end of Signing Day draws closer, with plenty of classses officially announced. But it's only the tip of the iceberg with regards to the 2017 men's and women's DI seasons. Plenty of work is left to be done, as transfers, international additions and last-minute issues are sorted.
