MADISON, Wis.-- The Wisconsin men's soccer team suffered its first loss since Sept. 11 at the hands of No. 5 Creighton Wednesday night at the McClimon Complex. UW fell to Creighton, 2-1, in overtime.

Fresh off their stunning upset over then-No. 6 Indiana on Sunday, the Badgers came out strong and showed that they can play with the country's best.

The Badgers and Bluejays shared possession equally throughout a scoreless first half, with Creighton outshooting the Badgers, 4-2.

The Bluejays surrendered only their second goal of the season at the 58:08 mark with a goal from sophomore Chris Prince (Naperville, Ill.).

Prince flicked it past Creighton's goalkeeper from inside the 10 yard line for his third goal of the season.

Sophomore Joey Tennyson (Milwaukee, Wis.) and junior Tomislav Zadro (Toronto, Ontario) earned assists on the goal.

With the assist, Zadro improved his scoring streak to nine games. He has scored at least one point in each of UW's last nine games and has a team-best 12 points.

Creighton showed they weren't going away and answered with the equalizer in the 62nd minute.

Dion Acoff tied the game at 1-1 off an assist from Wisconsin native Ethan Finlay.

After Creighton's goal, momentum favored the Bluejays as Creighton controlled possession throughout the rest of the half.

 The Badgers hung on, however, and forced overtime.

 Wisconsin could not keep the attacking Bluejays from striking, and gave up the game-winning goal at the 93:36 mark.

Greg Jordan launched the ball past sophomore goalkeeper Max Jentsch (Hartland, Wis.) to the back of the net from 30 yards out to give Creighton the walk off victory.

Tyler Polak earned an assist on the game-winner.

Jentsch, the reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, suffered his first loss of the season and is now 3-1-2.

With the loss the Badgers fall to 5-4-2, while Creighton improves to 9-1-0.

"Creighton is an excellent, well coached team with a lot of discipline," UW head coach John Trask said. "They have only given up two goals all season and we were one of them. We played well and Creighton is a good team."

The Badgers are back on the road this weekend to continue Big Ten play after a four-game homestand where they finished 2-1-1. Wisconsin will travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m.
