Hopkinson Named All-American

TIM HOPKINSON NAMED NSCAA SOCCER ALL-AMERICAN

 

NORFOLK, VA—Old Dominion University senior forward Tim Hopkinson (Nottingham, England) has been named second team NSCAA/Continental Tire All-American as announced today.   He is the 13th Monarch to earn All-American honors. He joins fellow C-USA member, New Mexico’s Kyle Venter on the second team.

Hopkinson was a first team NSCAA All-South Region selection and semifinalist for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy where he was the top vote getter in the fan poll. Hopkinson was Conference USA’s Offensive Player of the Year, and was selected to the All-Tournament team.

A first team All-C-USA selection, Hopkinson led C-USA in total goals and total points and scored his second career hat trick with 3 goals vs. VMI. The team co-captain was selected C-USA Player of the Week on Sept. 23rd and on Oct. 14th, and NSCAA National Player of the Week on Oct. 15th. He ranks 11th nationally in total goals with 12, and 15th nationally in total points with 28. Hopkinson finished his career at ODU as the school’s fourth all-time leader with 33 career goals, third all-time at ODU in career points with 85 and seventh all-time in career assists with 19. He also had a league best six game-winning goals this season.
