How to choose the best college camp: East

Finding the right summer camp to train at and showcase your skills is paramount to the success of your future soccer career. With so many camps to choose from offering a wide range of instruction and visiting college coaches, finding that perfect experience can be overwhelming. Fortunately, we did the hard work for you, and can now provide a list of the best summer soccer camps in America. Here’s a list of the top camps in the East:

  • Akron – With the highest winning percentage across Division I college soccer and having produced more MLS draftees and professionals than any other school since 2006, this is perhaps the nation’s leading program. Like a “Football Factory”, Akron has produced talents like DeAndre Yedlin, Wil Trapp, and Perry Kitchen. This camp enables players the chance to experience the environment and footballing philosophy of this incredible program.
  • Brown – The Elite 125 camp places students in an Ivy League campus and includes top-level players eyeing premier competition and the opportunity to showcase their skill set. An intense three-day camp includes supreme training and full-sided games for rising sophomores to rising seniors at one of the nation’s most prestigious universities.
  • Northeast Elite ID Camp at Colgate University – One of the finest recruiting camps in the country, this experience offers a great way to be seen and evaluated by the Colgate Men’s Soccer Coaching staff, as well as the many college coaches in attendance, in a highly competitive atmosphere with top players from around the country.
  • Dartmouth Men – Through Soccer Academies, here players are placed in a learning environment as well as an atmosphere where they can be recruited.  Visiting coaches include some of the top academic schools in the country. The campers go away feeling like they learned something new about the game of soccer and become better players. Many of these coaches also recruit from our camp.  In fact, nine current Dartmouth players were selected from the last two years.
  • Georgetown - At the Georgetown University Residential Soccer Camp each player works on the technical and tactical aspects of the game required for play at the college level. Limited enrollment and the on-campus setting also allows for every player to be seen and recruited by coaches, who are on site for every minute of play.
  • Lehigh - The Academy is designed for players that are looking to take their game to the collegiate level and offers a unique experience for players to immerse themselves in a college training environment. 
  • Maryland - Sasho Cirovski's Maryland Soccer Camp for Boys is based on a simple coaching principle: young people learn and develop skills most quickly and effectively when they are having fun. Regardless of current talent level, players will learn skills, tactics, and techniques taught through creative and motivating sessions from top-class coaches. Here, they will learn and develop the tools needed to be a complete soccer player on the same fields used by top-level NCAA athletes.
  • Princeton Women - Princeton University Women's Soccer Camps are designed to meet the demands of the collegiate game and provide serious prospective student-athletes a glimpse into what it takes to get to the next level. The staff has decades of combined experience at all levels of the game and are focused on providing a unique experience. From the breathtaking historical scenery to the state-of-the-art soccer specific Roberts Stadium, campers will get a real feel for what it means to wear the Orange and Black of the Princeton Tigers.
  • Rutgers - With over 20 years of college coaching experience and having been named Regional and Conference Coach of the Year several times, Dan Donigan helps soccer players at all levels and abilities reach their goals. Under the direction of Donigan and the entire Rutger's men's soccer staff, campers enhance their game through technical skill work, small and full-sided matches each day,
  • Syracuse Men - 2014 ACC Coach of the Year, Ian McIntyre, challenges elite youth players to train like champions in a fun & competitive environment at the Syracuse University ID Camp. Here players learn from experienced & knowledgeable NCAA coaches and compete with elite soccer players from across the country and internationally.
  • Syracuse Women - The CUSE Soccer Academy provides an opportunity for competitive high school level female athletes to work with premier college and US National Team coaches to experience the quality and excitement of an ACC-level program. Through carefully designed drills, activities, and small sided games the CUSE Soccer Academy staff will aim to develop players in a fun environment while experiencing it all at top level facilities.
  • Ray Reid Soccer Academy UCONN - Led by four-time National Champion Collegiate Coach & four-time Coach of the Year Ray Reid, this four-day, three-night training & showcase camp features coaches from some of the country's best college programs from Division I - III schools. It provides a unique opportunity to train and showcase in front of 20+ college level coaches and is an exciting place for aspiring college soccer players.
  • UNC - The goal of the UNC Soccer Camp is to provide a safe, educational, and fun environment for soccer players of all ages and levels. Campers will leave as better players with lasting memories alongside coaches, friends, and the beautiful campus of UNC-Chapel Hill.
  • Villanova – This camp program offers players the chance to showcase their abilities in front of 150+ college coaches on this prestigious Big East Conference campus.  With several four-night camps to choose from, there is a an opportunity for everyone to experience “4 Days in the Life” of a college soccer player within an elite program.
  • Virginia Tech Women - The 2015 Elite Soccer Academy for girls at Virginia Tech is a summer soccer camp offered by the coaches of the Virginia Tech Women's Soccer Team. We invite you to come experience what it's like to be a Division I student-athlete at Virginia Tech, one of the ACC’s leading programs.
