Lincoln - The most successful season for the Nebraska soccer program in over a decade came to an end on Friday as the No. 10 Huskers were eliminated in the NCAA Tournament Second Round by Boston College, 4-1, at the Nebraska Soccer Field. 

NU finishes the 2013 campaign with a 19-4-1 mark, its highest win total since 2000. Seniors Jordan Jackson, Ari Romero, Emma Stevens, Kylie Greischar, Stacy Bartels and Maritza Hayes all completed their Nebraska playing careers on Friday and will leave Head Coach John Walker's program as two-time Big Ten Champions after a season that put Nebraska back on the national radar.

Junior Mayme Conroy notched the lone score for the Big Red in the 85th minute as sophomore Jaylyn Odermann set her up from 30-yards out for a header in the box that found the back of the net. Conroy's tally was her 11th of the year and 26th career.

Boston College (12-9-1) forced Nebraska into allowing 30 shot attempts, including 11 on net both of which are season highs for an NU opponent. Sophomore Katie Kraeutner led the Huskers with three shots on the left side as the team amassed 12 for the match with six coming on target.

Seven Nebraska outfield players worked at least 80 minutes in the contest. Ari Romero worked all 90 for the 15th consecutive match as she finished her successful NU career.

The contest was fairly even with both sides controlling possession throughout the first 20 minutes of action. In the 25th minute, a dribble down the right end line for BC freshman Hayley Dowd resulted in a shot from a tough angle that found the top far corner of the goal for the early 1-0 lead.

An early second-half chance for the Huskers came from Jaycie Johnson whose shot was stopped by the opposing keeper Alex Johnson to keep momentum on Boston College's end. Johnson recorded two of NU's six shots on goal in the match.

Scores in the 74th, 82nd and 87th minutes guided the Eagles to victory as they will take on Illinois who stunned Portland by a 4-3 decision in overtime after a late penalty kick forced extra time.

Stevens wraps up her Nebraska career as the program leader in saves with 278, while tying for most starts in goal with 69. The Corona, Calif. native is also second in games played in net (72) and minutes (6,221), while ranking third in wins (37) and sixth in shutouts. Jackson sits fourth in shots (271) and fifth in shots on goal (136) as well as tied for eighth in points (101) and 10th in game-winning goals (9) all-time at NU.
