KANSAS CITY, Mo.  – Three University of Connecticut men’s soccer players, seniors Adria Beso Marco (Lleida, Spain) and Sergio Campbell (Clarendon, Jamaica) and sophomore Cyle Larin (Brampton, Ontario), earned sports on the NSCAA All-East Region Teams, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. Beso Marco and Larin garnered All-East Region First Team honors, while Campbell was named to the Second Team.

UConn tied South Florida for the most First Team honorees (2) among American Athletic Conference schools, and Connecticut’s three selections on the All-East Teams were tied for second in the league with SMU and Tulsa. UMBC led all eligible schools with three First Team players and a total of four honorees.

Wednesday’s announcement marks the second straight year Beso Marco has received NSCAA All-Region First Team accolades. The 2014 American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year finished his senior campaign with a career-high three goals and he ranked fourth on the team with eight points.

Beso Marco notched his first ever game-winner in UConn’s win over Yale (Oct. 28), scoring in the 103^rd minute, and he tallied a season-high two assists in the conference quarterfinals against Temple. The senior captain started all 19 games for a Connecticut team that captured its 13^th-ever conference regular season title in the fall.

Larin, who was named to the NSCAA All-Northeast Region Second Team last season as a freshman, finished this year with a team-leading 21 points and nine goals. He ranked first in the conference in game-winners (3) and goals per game (0.56), and his 1.31 points per game stood as the 29^th-best mark among Division I players.

The Brampton, Ontario native took home a major conference award for the second straight year last month, earning American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors. He scored a goal in each of Connecticut’s first four matches this season, and the striker matched his career-high with two goals in UConn’s 5-0 win over the Owls in the conference quarterfinal round.

Campbell received the nod on the All-East Second Team after anchoring a defense that finished first in the conference and 18^th nationally in shutout percentage (0.47). The Huskies allowed a league-low three goals in conference play and conceded just two goals in their final seven matches of 2014.

The Connecticut center back, who was tabbed as the 2014 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, notched his second career point as a Husky against Temple back on Oct. 22 to help UConn head coach Ray Reid earn his 400^th career victory.

Campbell started all 19 games this fall for a Connecticut team that ended its season unbeaten in 10 of its last 11 matches and reached the conference semifinals for the fourth straight season under Reid, who was named the NSCAA East Regional Coach of the Year earlier this week.
