UC Irvine women fall at UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (8-5-1, 1-2) lost 2-1 at UC Davis Friday afternoon in Big West Conference action at Aggie Field.

Marisa Boge got an assist from Lisa Kemp in the 31st minute as she knocked the ball to the left side of the goal to give the Aggies a 1-0 lead. Rochelle VanBuskirk put UCD up 2-0 in the 67th minute after an assist from Boge. Junior Tanya Taylor (Buena Park/Sunny Hills HS)  collected a loose ball in the box and put it in to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 80th minute.

Junior keeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) had two saves for the ‘Eaters. Keeper Sarah Peters had six saves for the Aggies.

The ‘Eaters will travel to Stockton Sunday to take on Pacific at 12:00 p.m. in Big West play at Stagg Memorial Stadium.
