UCLA clinched its second consecutive and sixth overall Pac-10 men's soccer championship after a 2-1 win over Washington on Sunday afternoon. The Bruins erased an early 1-0 deficit with goals from seniors Kyle Nakazawa and David Estrada.

The Huskies got off to a good start, taking an early 1-0 lead after Jamie Finch scored off a  free kick at the 5:26 mark. Even with the lead, Washington continued to attack, forcing UCLA goalkeeper Brian Perk into making four saves in the first 20 minutes of action. Nakazawa tied the game at 20:48 with his team-leading 10th goal of the year. Estrada sent a cross into the box that bounced out to Nakazawa, who one-timed it into the goal.

The second half was all UCLA, who outshot the Huskies, 7-1 in the half and 14-10 overall. The winning goal came at 81:50 when Nakazawa sent a pass to Michael Stephens, who sent Estrada a through ball in the box. Estrada finished for his third goal of the year, and the Bruins celebrated their conference title and automatic NCAA Tournament berth eight minutes later.

UCLA improved its overall record to 10-3-3 and its conference mark to 5-1-3. Washington dropped to 5-6-6, 2-2-5 in the Pac-10. The Bruins will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 14 with a 7 pm game against San Diego State. Eight Bruin seniors will be honored in pregame ceremonies.
