Saint Louis' Ream invited to MLS combine

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis(m) senior defender Tim Ream (St. Louis, Mo./St. Dominic) has been invited to participate in the 2010 adidas MLS Player Combine. The annual player combine will be held at Central Broward Regional Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Jan. 8-12, 2010.
The coaching and management staffs of all 16 MLS teams will be in attendance to scout talent at the 2010 adidas MLS Player Combine. The 2010 MLS SuperDraft will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in Philadelphia.
The 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Ream started all 22 games for the Billikens this season and contributed a career-high 17 points (6G, 5A) to rank second on the team. He notched two game winners, including a memorable tally late in the A-10 semifinal matchup against Rhode Island that vaulted the Billikens into the A-10 Championship title game.
Ream played in all but one game during his four-year Billiken career, totaling 82 games played and 68 starts. He ended his career with 24 career points (6G, 12A). He was named first-team All-Region (NSCAA) and second-team All-Conference his sophomore and junior seasons.
This marks the fifth straight season that at least one Billiken has been invited to the player combine. Currently, there are seven former Billikens active in MLS. They are Brandon Barklage (DC United), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), John DiRaimondo (DC United), Jack Jewsbury (KC Wizards), Brian McBride (Chicago Fire), Kyle Patterson (LA Galaxy) and Tim Ward (Chicago Fire).
