College Players to Watch feature imminent

With various youth national championships (Academy, U.S. Youth Soccer, ECNL) now complete, you might think those of us at TopDrawerSoccer.com are feeling a void in our professional lives.
Will these players make our Top 100 lists?Well nothing could be further from the truth, because while the club season really has no end anyway, the fact of the day is that college soccer is just around the corner, and what we have planned for this season is better than anything we’ve ever done with the college game.
TopDrawerSoccer.com College Players to Watch is going to be launched in August and the extensive preparations are well under way.
For years, Players To Watch has been the most popular item on our web site. Now we’re taking the concept to the Men’s and Women’s college games. Here’s what College Players To Watch will include:

TopDrawerSoccer.com College Players to Watch is going to be launched in August and the extensive preparations are well under way.
For years, Players To Watch has been the most popular item on our web site. Now we’re taking the concept to the Men’s and Women’s college games. Here’s what College Players To Watch will include:
- A player profile for every Division I men’s and women’s college player, accessible through the college team page already present on TopDrawerSoccer.com
- A search function to find any Division I player in men’s or women’s college soccer.
- A National Top 100 players feature for upperclassmen – one for men and one for women.
- A National Top 100 Rookies feature for first-year players – one for men and one for women.
- JUST RELEASED! A Conference Top 20 feature (all classes together) for every Division I conference in the country. That’s more than 50 conferences nationwide.
Each of these lists will be updated weekly as the college season progresses. We will be going over match reports, video and checking our nationwide network of sources to keep close track of who is hot and who is not. Nobody will be covering the college game as comprehensively as we will be – not even close.
This is all in addition to the features you liked so well from us last year including:
- Tournament 64 and 48 National Ranking – our running weekly projection of who will be in the postseason NCAA Tournament field for women and men.
- National Team of the Week – where we select those deserving of weekly accolades based on on-field performances in big conferences and small.
- Weekly Highlight Article – A look at the leading stories from the week throughout the men’s and women’s games.
- Complete Conference Standings – Every DI conference plus independents for men’s and women’s soccer. Updated daily.
- Complete Schedules and Results - Want to know the who, what, when and where from the complete college schedule? We’ve got all the answers.
- Complete Match Reports – So long as your school SID is sending us the reports (most do – we’re working on the rest), we’re posting them on the team’s individual page, which reminds me…
- Complete Team Page – An individual page for each DI team including rosters, articles, schedules, results, videos and recruiting commitments, which reminds me…
- Complete Recruiting Information – Both in our club and college section we endeavor to track every potential DI recruit. We’re talking thousands of players so it’s a monstrous task, but we are chasing it daily.
- College Soccer Review - our weekly audio interview with top college coaches and players.
I think you’ll agree that when it comes to college soccer, TopDrawerSoccer.com is your one-stop destination. Now with College Players To Watch, it’s even more that way than ever.
