Akron remains on top of the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men’s Tournament 48 National Ranking following their 2-0 victory over Mid-American Conference opponent Bowling Green. The Zips might have been ripe for a letdown following the previous weekend’s impressive wins over high-profile ACC opposition, but Caleb Porter’s team scored a pair of 2nd half wins to get the desire result.

There wasn’t too much volatility in the Top 10, with only slow-starting UC Santa Barbara falling in the ranking. A quartet of highly-ranked ACC teams played to league-opening draws on the weekend and thus held their ground. A handful of new entries to the poll are also featured.

The ranking is a running effort to project the 48-team NCAA Tournament field, including all automatic conference and at-large bids to the field. It is updated every Monday through the season. You can see the entire ranking here.

Meanwhile William & Mary(m)’s Ryan Snyder has been named TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Week following his goal-scoring exploits for the Tribe as they won three matches on the week. Snyder scored 4 goals and added an assist in the three wins.
