Today we look at players in The Atlantic Sun Conference. While more casual observers may dismiss mid-majors as lacking in talent, it doesn’t take long in running the rule over this group of programs to know that there’s plenty of quality to go around.
Florida Gulf Coast pair Deion Jones and KC Correlus are our choices to top the player rankings for our College Players To Watch Atlantic Sun conference rankings on TopDrawerSoccer.com
For the next 5 weeks or so, we will be unveiling our top 20 list for each competitive DI conference, men’s and women’s. These rankings are based on previous accolades, current season performance and especially the feedback of informed observers all over the country.
Correlus, a unanimous choice for conference player of the year last season, continue to boss games from the back line for the Eagles. She is followed closely by the likes of Katrina Frost (Kennesaw State), Stefanie Powers (FGCU) and Mercer’s Olivia Tucker
On the men’s side, Jones gets the nod in a crowded field at the top, including Stetson duo Jonathan Mendoza and Gonzalo De Mujica and Aaron Schoenfeld of East Tennessee State.
The rankings are subject to change at any time and will be replaced with a comprehensive season-ending version in December.
