Ray Reid’s Connecticut Huskies are the new #1 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 48 National Ranking
for men’s college soccer, following a pair of victories this week to stay undefeated on the season.
Darron Mattocks scored a hat trick against Tulsa.
The Huskies are now 8-0 after defeating Boston College 2-0 on the road and St. Johns 2-0 at home. UConn has surrendered just 2 goals in 8 matches thus far. They swap places in the ranking with Maryland, whose scoreless draw at Seton Hall this week is the first blemish on the Terrapins’ record.
The ranking is a running effort to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field, including all automatic conference and at-large qualifiers. Weekly updates will appear every Monday.
Meanwhile, Akron forward Darren Mattocks scored a hat trick in his team’s win over Tulsa and has been named the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's College Player of the Week.
