West Virginia men beat Fullerton

Updated: September 18, 2010

Morgantown, WV - West Virginia rallied for three second-half goals Friday night to defeat Cal State Fullerton, 3-1, in the Big East Partners Weekend men's soccer event at West Virginia.

The Mountaineers improved to 3-2 by getting goals from Moeryhan Doue in the 54th and 72nd minutes and then a late own goal. Fullerton fell to 0-3-2 despite Nick Posthuma's third goal of the seaon in the 26th minute.

The Titans have lost two matches in a row by the same formula -- a 1-0 first-half lead disappears to a second half rally by the opponent, first Washington and now WVU.

Trevor Whiddon made 8 saves as the Mountaineers outshot Fullerton.

The Titans play again Sunday morning at 11 a.m.Eastern time against Pittsburgh.
