Our '98 son has been in this club for well over two years. Hugh Brown has done a marvelous job starting an elite level club which was really needed here in our area.
The club is geared more toward developing a rounded player then getting some kid ready to make highschool or a college team. The training is geared more toward the player thinking about non-amateur level of play.
SFC has showed remarkable commitment for developing talent as evidenced by their showing at Disney Cup, Arizona Tournaments and out of town competitions against some of the highest nationally ranked teams in the USA.
While any fresh club will be experiencing growing pains, SFC, has been exceptionally progressive in response oto challenges.
Practices all winter in The FieldHouse a huge indoor facility with the best astroturf money can buy, a health club, a cafe with great food and microbrews, along with a caring attentive staff.
Last SFC U-15's put 13 players on metro area div 1 highscool teams....as freshman. Contributing members not bench warmers. I am not sure if the other two local clubs had any U-15's selected onto Varsity squads.
Besides being based at one of the best indoor facilities in New England, they are beginning to take advantage of competition at the newly formed Golden Goal , an exceptional Soccer Mecca in nearby Ft.Ann NY. where many teams travel to.
Hugh is 2nd to none at at improving skills and motivation. He communicates effectivly to get these kids to be their best at world level soccer.
Wonderful rolemodels abound here and I would recommend this Euro styled program to anyone who has a motivated son with talent.
