We are sad to learn of the death of Cole Ballay. Cole lived in the Philadelphia area and played for the New Jersey club PDA. He was killed in an auto accident Feb. 19. He was 17.

I saw Cole play a couple of times. I recall watching him do quite well for an FC DELCO team at the Nike Friendlies I believe the year before last, I think against one of the youth national teams. He was small in stature, but very quick and a really intelligent, creative player. His mother, Nan, once told me about how much her son loves the game. It showed.
