DENVER - With the 2nd day of matches complete here at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, attention will now turn to the coveted all-star game berths prior to Monday night's showcase match of the adidas ESP event. The day brought a much better standard of play due to acclimation, familiarity and the absence of 70-MPH wind gusts that disrupted all 3 matches played Saturday. ![]() Day 2 saw better matches as All-Star selections loom This was the best match of the first 2 days of the event, and Baltimore Casa Mia Bays forward Jon Guzman punctuated it with a last-minute equalizer for Team Santel , driving a shot home after Brian Carr had made a good save on Clifford Lyle's diving header from a Ted Mullin cross to make the result 1-1. Guzman's goal canceled out the opener from Team Mondelo's Arsenal FC forward Jon Tovar, whose hard shot hit the post then caromed off the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
