DeMatha top overall team in boys NSCAA poll
DeMatha was the big mover in the NSCAA national boys high school poll released Tuesday. The Hyattsville, Md. power hopped Jesuit and St. Benedict's to take the top overall spot for the first time this season. St. Benedict's started the season as the preseason No. 1 but fell to No. 6 in this week's poll.
Michigan program East Lansing was the biggest mover this week, shooting up from the receiving votes section to No. 7 in the nation. No. 8 Norwalk was also not ranked a week ago, while No. 16 Farmington, No. 19 Cherry Creek, No. 21 Hillsdale Central, No. 22 LaSalle Academy and No. 24 LaSalle College Prep are also making their 2013 debuts in the poll. North Carolina juggernaut Wesleyan Christian moved up 12 spots to No. 11 on the back of a 10-0-0 start, the most wins for any team currently ranked in the top 25.
