Erik Furseth, a senior goalkeeper from Munford High School (Munford, Tenn.), and Hannah Sink, a junior forward from Glenn High School (Kernersville, N.C.), are the NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Players of the Week.

Furseth has been a reliable backstop for Munford throughout the course of the early portion of the season, and the senior has provided a steadying force between the pipes for a team that’s given up just one goal so far. In fact, Munford is off to a 5-0-0 start with four shutouts, and the only goal was via penalty kick. Last week, he faced three opponents and registered shutouts in all three games. That involved 18 saves over that span, including one athletic stop on a penalty kick to preserve a shutout.

Sink was rampant up top for Glenn in a pair of massive wins over South Stokes and Thomasville. In the first outing, the talented forward player registered a goal and a pair of assists to be involved with every Glenn goal in a 3-1 victory. In the next contest, she lashed home four goals and assisted on two more to cement a huge 10-0 win. That bumped up her season tally to eight goals and five assists in just five games.

Other boys finalists include David Koprowski (Brookland-Cayce High School, Cayce, S.C.) and Garrett Shan (Cambridge High School, Milton, Ga.). Other girls finalists include Caroline Lewis (Charlotte Country Day High School, Charlotte, N.C.) and Hannah Shute (Chamblee Charter High School, Chamblee, Ga.).

The NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Player of the Week honor is designed to highlight a selection of the nation's rising stars populating the high school ranks. Coaches are free to nominate a boys or girls player each week through our submission form that can be found here. Be sure to include the school and any relevant stats from the previous week. The selection process will take into account a slew of factors from contribution to team results to individual accolades. Honorees are announced each Wednesday.

The next submission deadline will be noon (CT) on April 7 before the Player of the Week announcement on April 9.
