The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Ohio Division I state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,450 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Xavier commit Stephen Milhoan scored the first goal and assisted on the game-winner as St. Ignatius defeated St. Charles Prep 2-1 in an Ohio Division I state final pitting the last two undefeated teams in the state. Senior Alex Gotsky scored the game-winner on a blast from 30 yards out with 6 minutes left to snap a 1-1 tie. Milhoan ended the season with 31 goals and 80 for his career. The win made St. Ignatius the first team to ever win three straight Division I state titles in Ohio. The Wildcats are riding a 59-match undefeated streak. Along with Milhoan, Tommy Patacca (IUPUI), Johne Vrablic (Brown) and Riley Houde (Dayton) have committed to Division I programs.
2 (2) Boulder Boulder, CO 20-0-0*
Season Complete. Colorado Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: In what will be long recalled as the greatest state final in Colorado, Mitchell Graesser converted the winning penalty kick to lift Boulder to a state title after 14 rounds of PKs. Graesser's winner was set up after teammate Djibril Doumbia made a save to start the 14th round. The final PK score was 13-12, which came after a 1-1 match. Simon Julien scored Boulder's regulation goal. WATCH THE SHOOTOUT Boulder had defeated Broomfield, the two-time defending state champion, 2-1 earlier in the season. The Panthers also pinned the lone loss on Delaware power Salesianum.

Lower Dauphin Hummelstown, PA 28-0-0*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Class AAA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Pitt commit Tim Townsend scored the first goal and junior standout Jackson Becher added two more as Lower Dauphin defeated Northwestern Lehigh 3-0 in the state final. Becher ended the season with 32 goals and Townsend had 31. The Falcons, known for its strong defensive teams, allowed only two goals over its last 22 matches.
4 (4) Pennington School Pennington, NJ 16-0-3*
Season Complete. New Jersey Prep A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Senegal native Ibrahima Diop, who is quickly becoming one of the hot recruits in the Class of 2018, scored 71 seconds into the match and then added two more as Pennington defeated St. Benedict's Prep, ending the Gray Bees' run of state titles at 27 in a 3-1 contest. WATCH THE STATE FINAL. Pennington tied St. Benedict's earlier in the season and posted wins over Delran and Hill School (Pa.), and tied Prep Top 10-ranked Peddie School.

Conestoga Berwyn, PA 25-1-0*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Class AAAA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Conestoga, a preseason Top 10 team that spent time at No. 1 this season, fittingly ended its title run with a 1-0 victory over Elizabethtown in the sleet and rain at Hersheypark Stadium. Conestoga went 14-0 in one-goal matches this season. Chris Donovan scored the lone goal, assisted by Nick Jennings. Keeper Luke Smith had one save in recording the team's 15th shutout of the season. Meanwhile, Conestoga forced Elizabethtown's keeper into 15 saves.

Milwaukee Marquette Milwaukee, WI 20-1-3*
Season Complete. Wisconsin Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-male, 1,075 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Sophomore Thomas Bruneau scored the lone goal as Marquette edged Green Bay Preble 1-0 in the state final after holding a large edge in shots and chances. The win marked Marquette's third straight state title and sixth in the past seven years. The team has not lost to a Wisconsin opponent since 2013. The defense, anchored by Wisconsin commit Ben Leas, became the first team to shut out Preble in 46 matches. Marquette was undefeated against traditional high school teams, losing only to Prep Top 10-ranked Kiski Prep (Pa.). The Hilltoppers had victories over Prep Top 10 No. 1 South Kent School (Conn.) and Missouri power Rockhurst Jesuit.

Walter Johnson Bethesda, MD 18-1-0*
Season Complete. Maryland Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,250 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Walter Johnson received goals from four players in a closer-than-it-appeared 4-0 victory over Bel Air in the state final. Zion Friday, one of the team's four all-state honorees, scored the game-breaking goal, making it 2-0 and jumpstarting the Wildcats' victory. WJ's lineup included Temple commit and forward Justin Hahn and defender Felix Wu -- both first-team all-state picks -- along with second teamers Friday and keeper David Goodstein. Walter Johnson twice defeated FAB 50-ranked Walt Whitman, which handed St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.) one of its losses this season.

Salesianum Wilmington, DE 16-1-1*
Season Complete. Delaware Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-male, 1,075 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Jason Blackwell had a goal and one assist, and Gavin Ford netted the other goal as Salesianum won its seventh straight state title with a 2-0 decision over Appoquinimink. Salesianum went 12-0 against Delaware opponents and averaged nearly 5 goals per match. The team's only loss was to SIMA FAB 50 No. 2 Boulder (Colo.) and its tie was with St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.).

Green Hope Cary, NC 28-1-0*
Season Complete. North Carolina Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Connor Munz, Jacob Sciandra and William Dugger scored the goals as senior-loaded Green Hope rolled to a 3-0 state final victory over previously undefeated Porter Ridge. The Falcons have won three titles in the past six seasons. Defensive midfielder Zach Curtis was named MVP as Green Hope recorded its 16th shutout. The team did not allowed a goal in six postseason matches. Griffin Brookshire and junior Camden Holbrook were named to the Class 4A all-state team by the coaches.

Stillwater Stillwater, MN 22-0-0*
Season Complete. Minnesota Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: Colman Farrington and Kohei Adams scored the goals as Stillwater defeated Wayzata 2-0 to cap a perfect season and secure the highest-ever SIMA FAB 50 finish for a Minnesota boys team. WATCH THE STATE FINAL. The Ponies were simply dominant, averaging nearly 4.5 goals per game. Stillwater won both the state quarterfinal and semifinal matches 6-1. Adams scored three goals in the state semifinal win. For a regional point of reference, Stillwater went 3-0 against Wisconsin teams, including a 1-0 win over Broookfield East (Wis.), which Wisconsin champ Milwaukee Marquette defeated 2-0.

Ramapo Franklin Lakes, NJ 22-0-0*
Season Complete. New Jersey Group 3 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Junior Sebastian Varela scored the first and third goals and assisted on the second as Ramapo handled Toms River South 3-0 in the state final. The victory marked the first time a NJSIAA school had gone undefeated since Ramapo pulled off a 21-0-2 record in 2012 and the first perfect season since Christian Brothers went 21-0 in 2011. The state title was the seventh for coach Evan Baumgarten, who has coached the program for 31 years.

Season Complete. New Jersey Non-Public A state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,000 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Bucknell commit Matt Thorsheim scored on CBA's lone official shot on goal as the Colts defeated Seton Hall Prep 1-0 in the state final. CBA set school records for wins (24) and goals (91) under first-year head coach Tom Mulligan, who spent 23 years as an assistant at CBA under an Keane, who retired last year following his 40th season. BA's defense of Scotty Mission, James Madison commit Thomas Judge and John Askin were able to shut down Seton Hall standout Mason Toye, who has committed to Indiana.

Naperville North Naperville, IL 21-2-3*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,825 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: After assisting the first goal, junior Jack Barry scored the go-ahead goal as Naperville North pulled away from Barrington for a 3-1 state final win. The victory came just a few days after Naperville North knocked off undefeated Morton in a Super-Sectional contest that pitted the two state title favorites. Ian Guppy and Will Ritzmann scored the other state final goals for Naperville North, which claimed its first state title since 1998.

Rockwood Summit Fenton, MO 28-2-1*
Season Complete. Missouri Class 3 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,330 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Five of the state tournament record-tying six goals where scored by juniors as Summit rolled Carthage 6-0 in the Class 3 state final. Matthew Kogut, a junior, scored twice in the final. Junior Billy Hency had 36 goals and 24 assists on the season.

Cicero Morton Cicero, IL 25-1-1*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A Super-Sectional runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 8,075 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Morton's magical season ended in a Super-Sectional loss to Naperville North in what was projected as a state final-worthy contest. As expected, after winning the match, Naperville North then went on to claim the state title two wins later. During the season, Morton, led by junior standout Baltazar Duran, won the Red Devil Cup and the Pepsi Showdown.

Season Complete. Massachusetts Eastern Mass Division 2 champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: James McCully's 37th and 38th goals of the season lifted Nauset to a 2-1 victory over Masconoment in the Eastern Mass Div. 2 final. Nauset shut out its first 22 opponents and ended the season having outscored its opponents 108-1. The team is coached by John McCully, James' father, who holds the school's single-season scoring record with 39, which he accomplished during the team's 1979 state title run -- its last championship before this year.

St. Charles Prep Bexley, OH 21-1-1*
Season Complete. Ohio Division I state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 650 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Despite getting outshot 23-6, St. Charles Prep found itself in a 1-1 match against top-ranked St. Ignatius in the closing minutes of the state final. However, the Wildcats found a way to win -- a perfect blast from 30 yards out, sending St. Charles to its only setback of the season for first-year head coach Chris Vonau. After falling behind 1-0, St. Charles evened the score with a goal by Charlie Marshall, assisted by Kristo Strickland.

Dodge City Dodge City, KS 21-0-0*
Season Complete. Kansas Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,850 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Joshua DonJuan, a junior, scored the only goal nine minutes into the match and keepers Jorge Ortiz and Jesus Navarro -- each playing a half -- made it stand as Dodge City stunned Olathe East 1-0 in the state final. Dodge City's perfect season led to the program's first boys soccer state title.

Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 3,000 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Barrington gave up a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes and fell to Naperville North 3-1 in the state final. Senior Klaus Pallan scored the team's state final goal. He finished the season with 31 goals and six assists and was named the state's Player of the Year by the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Bradley-Bourbonnais Bradley, IL 25-1-0*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A Super-Sectional runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Bradley-Bourbonnais brought a perfect record into the state semifinals before falling to Naperville North 2-1. The Boilermakers then salvaged a 2-0 win over Contant in the third-place game. Twin brothers Anthony and Nicholas Markanich, juniors, combined to score 76 goals. Another junior, Efrain Davila, added 15 goals and 38 assists. With that sort of firepower returning in 2017, Bradley-Bourbonnais will be among the preseason state title favorites.

Season Complete. Maryland Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,550 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Kyle McQuillen's low cross deflected off a defender and into the net for the lone score as Urbana defeated Mount Hebron 1-0 in the state final. The Hawks, making their fifth state final appearance in the past eight seasons, claimed their second state title, joining the undefeated and nationally ranked 2013 team. Urbana split its contests with FAB 50-ranked Middletown, losing the first encounter 2-1 and winning the rematch 1-0 for the county title. Teams in Urbana's county-based conference have combined to win eight state titles in the past five years.

Porter Ridge Indian Trail, NC 26-1-2*
Season Complete. North Carolina Class 4A state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 1,550 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Porter Ridge's 28-match undefeated streak came to a crashing end in a 3-0 loss to Green Hope in the state final. During the regular season, Porter Ridge beat eventual 3A state champion Marvin Ridge 4-0 and edged preseason state No. 1 Weddington 1-0. In the playoffs, the Pirates defeated defending state champ South Mecklenburg and perennial title challenger Hough en route to the state final. Despite the stellar season, Karl Heinz Reichert was Porter Ridge's lone all-state honoree.

Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A Super-Sectional runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Evanston's season ended with a 2-1 loss to eventual state runner-up Barrington. Evanston had a shootout win over Glenbrook North to reach the Super Sectional match. Senior defender Joshua Klier earned all-state honors, while fellow senior defender Dylan TerMolen was an all-section selection.

Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A Sectional runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,075 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Glenbrook North's season ended with a shootout loss to Evanston. During the season, Glenbrook North had wins over state-ranked Lyons and Libertyville. The Spartans also defeated Kentucky state semifinalist Dunbar and handled Indiana state champion Evansville Memorial 5-1 en route to a Gateway City Soccer Classic title. Seniors Seth Grossman and Tommy Iscra earned all-state honors.

Daviess County Owensboro, KY 27-1-0*
Season Complete. Kentucky state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,650 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Tommy Booker converted in the eighth round of penalty kicks to give Daviess County its first-ever state title with a victory over defending champ Covington Catholic. The regular-season highlight for Daviess County was a victory over perennial title challenger St. Xavier.
