FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (private), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Conestoga was the only Top 5 team from last week that did not tie or lose a match in the previous seven days. Nick Jennings capped a three-win week with an overtime goal as Conestoga edged Cumberland Valley 2-1. The team's marquee victory this season is an overtime win over SIMA FAB 50 No. 13 Henderson, a team that handled Malvern Prep 3-0, which beat Kiski School 3-0.

Cicero Morton Cicero, IL 16-0-1
Andres Moreno and Isaac Carnalla scored the goals as Morton held off Round Lake 2-1 to finish another three-win week. The Mustangs have been a wire-to-wire state No. 1 in Illinois so far this season.

Christian Brothers Academy Lincroft, NJ 10-0-0
Matthew Thorsheim had a goal and one assist as CBA edged Manalapan 2-1 last week before Patrick Kollman contributed two goals in the team's 6-0 win over Freehold Borough.

St. Ignatius played to a scoreless tie with SLUH (Mo.) and handed Dublin Jerome a 3-1 defeat last week, extending the program's undefeated streak to 47 matches.

Milwaukee Marquette Milwaukee, WI 12-1-1
Nicholas Cheung's second goal, which came in overtime, lifted Marquette to a wild 3-2 win over South Kent School (Conn.) in a clash between highly ranked high school and prep school programs. A day earlier, Marquette lost its first match of the season, a 2-1 setback to Kiski School (Pa.), another team ranked among the Prep Top 10.

Boulder Boulder, CO 10-0-0
Eric Ramirez assisted a pair of goals as Boulder defeated former state No. 1 Fairview 3-1. The Panthers now have wins over Salesianum (Del.) and Fairview.

Olathe East Olathe, KS 10-0-0
Julian Denis had a goal and one assist as Olathe East defeated Olathe South 2-0 to finish a two-win week. The Hawks also handled Shawnee Mission North 9-1. The big win so far this year for Olathe East was a 2-1 victory over Rock Bridge, which just went 3-0 at the Gateway City Soccer Classic. The Hawks national standing will be more clearly defined in its final three regular season matches -- contests with regionally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas and SIMA FAB 50 No. 46 Shawnee Mission East and No. 18 Rockhurst (Mo.).

St. Benedict's Prep Newark, NJ 7-1-1
Felipe Lucas gave St. Benedict's a lead, but the Gray Bees settle on a 1-1 tie with Pennington School, marking the first time in seven years that St. Benedict's failed to defeat an instate opponent. The Gray Bees bounced back with a 2-0 win over Holy Ghost Prep (Pa.) on Saturday in a match where five starters did not play.

Kyle Galloway's second-half goal allowed Pennington School to tie St. Benedict's Prep 1-1 in a clash of New Jersey Prep A state title contenders.

Sophomore Casey Kurlej scored twice as Salesianum handled DeMatha (Md.) 4-0 last week. This week Sallies takes on St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.) in its annual clash of national powers.

Ladue has shut out eight of its last nine opponents, including all three last week to top the 20-win mark for the season. Hans Chan was the offensive leader for the week with three goals and two assists. Ladue's No. 1 ranking in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch will be put to the test with a showdown against SIMA FAB 50 No. 15 and Post-Dispatch No. 2 Rockwood Summit, which is coming off a bracket title at the Gateway City Soccer Classic.

Richie Schlentz scored the lone goal as Henderson edged Downingtown West 1-0 in a battle of undefeated teams last week.

Billy Hency scored the game-clinching goal as Summit defeated Marquette 3-1 in the Gateway City Soccer Classic Bracket C final, which pitted two of the top teams in the St. Louis area. Corey Goede and Lucas Morefield also scored for the Falcons.

Roberto Ventura scored both goals in Brentwood's tie with league No. 2 Commack last week. The New York power also had wins over Longwood and Sachem North, which Brentwood tied earlier in the season. Brentwood holds a commanding lead in the Long Island Suffolk County League I standings.

Junior Rivas scored three goals as McMinnville cruised to a 6-2 win over Sprague in its only match last week.

Nick Dempster scored twice and Elijah Johnson and Sam Leach each had a goal and one assist as CBC rolled to a 4-1 win over Mount Carmel (Ill.) to capture the Gateway City Soccer Class Bracket A title. In the semifinals, CBC edged Rockhurst on penalty kicks following a 1-1 match.

Kyle Ruark scored the winning goal as Rockhurst edged Quincy (Ill.) 3-2 for third place in the Gateway City Soccer Classic Bracket A. Rockhurst, whose previous loss was to Marquette (Wis.), was handed its second setback of the season in a shootout by CBC in the semifinal match.

Seton Hall Prep was dealt a 3-0 defeat by Peddie School last week, ending the team's undefeated run. Peddie is the No. 3-ranked team in the Prep Top 10 whose only loss is to St. Benedict's Prep.

Cameron Smith and Jack Malcolm scored the goals as Trinity edged St. Xavier 2-1 in a clash of perennial state title challengers to highlight a two-win week.

Mohamed Ayad netted five goals in two matches last week, giving him 18 on the season, as Harrison closed out an undefeated regular season with wins over Frankfort (7-0) and Indianapolis Northwest (4-0). The Raiders start postseason play this week.

Miguel Caravias, a foreign exchange student from Spain, has bolstered the already-strong Stillwater lineup and has contributed nine goals this season. Stillwater closes regular season play this week. The highlight for Stillwater's season so far is a 7-3 win over Cedarburg (Wis.), a team currently ranked No. 5 in Wisconsin's Division 2 rankings.

Sam Carson, a junior, scored three goals in Denver East's 6-1 win over Denver West in its only match last week. Denver East and Boulder are the last remaining undefeated, untied Colorado 5A programs.
