George Mason head coach Greg Andrulis is happy to draw on his experience when it comes to conducting the various camps associated with his university's program.

"Camps are part of what we do. I've always been involved with camps and I can take some things I've learned from some of the best camps in country and use them here," the former MLS coach said about the Victory Soccer Academy camps held during the summer at the Northern Virginia practice.
"We've had tremendous growth over the last three years and now we are adding another session. We have an elite residential academy, a goalkeeper camp and a team camp, and the team camp is sold out. Some of the best teams and players in the northeast and mid-atlantic regions come to play and be on our campus with a lot of college coaches," Andrulis said. "We're a serious camp and we are teachers, not entertainers. We teach the game with a passion. We believe in what we are doing. We're not a babysitting service, we're a soccer education business."
Andrulis said the elite camp, held July 17-19, will mirror what he and his staff put the GMU squad through in their first three days of preseason training every August.
"We do the same fitness, technical, tactical and match preparation work that we do with our team," he said. "They'll get the full college experience from staying in the dorms and training as if they were a member of our team. It's for players who aspire to go on to bigger and better things. We keep enrollment limited and it's only our college staff working at that weekend."
Andrulis added that recruiting seminars are also held in conjunction with the other camp events, with guest coaches from the area also taking part.
