The United States Football Club is proud to announce that youth soccer sensation
Josh Gatt has signed a professional contract to play with Austrian club SCR Altach. This marks a historic day in the promising career of Gatt as well as a triumph for American soccer as a whole.
The 18-year-old Gatt, of Plymouth, Michigan, flew to Altach alongside his family to meet with his new club. He is fulfilling a lifelong dream and setting into motion a relationship between the internationally respected club and one of the preeminent young U.S. soccer talents.

"I am thrilled and excited to be joining the club," said Gatt, a graduate of the SuperElite® System that helps players pursue their soccer dreams abroad. "To be able to play in stadiums in front of thousands of people in such a great soccer environment will be amazing. I think the program we have in place will really help to acclimate me to the new life."
Gatt has long established himself as one of the very best youth soccer players in the country. He burnished his star while playing for the Michigan Wolves club and excelling in the highly competitive U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
This past summer, Gatt received international recognition with his participation in the Discover Europe™ Tour, an elite select team that took 18 American players to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium where they competed against world renowned clubs.
The tour was put on by the U.S.F.C. as part of its SuperElite® System, a program designed to help elite players reach the world-class level. Through rich relationships with European clubs and impactful tenets that include preparation, progress monitoring and the network of a player's family and friends, footballers are given the opportunity to experience the culture and one-of-a-kind soccer environment that can only be found in Europe.
"I'm beyond excited to see that Josh has been able to fulfill his dreams," said SuperElite® Technical Director and U.S.F.C. coach Jon Spencer. "Josh has worked hard for this and truly deserves it. The SuperElite® system gave him the foundational opportunity and now he is in a great place where he can develop. He is surrounded by a superb support network where he will not be rushed. The club believes in him, and that's ultimately what it's all about."
