Thierry Henry to build four-story fish tank

Thierry Henry apparently loves fish and wasting money.

The New York Red Bulls star, currently on loan to Arsenal, is set to combine the two passions. He has submitted proposals to demolish his current, 13-year-old, eco-friendly North London home and build a new one incorporating a four-story fish tank. The tank would stretch from the very bottom of his house to the very top, visible on each floor. It will use about fifty-five hundred gallons of water and house approximately three-hundred fish.

The estimated cost for it to be built, not including tank and fish maintenance, will be about $400,000.

Already his plans are hitting opposition from locals who say his current digs are too new and impressive to be bulldozed.

There are a lot of starving children on this planet, and the money wasted on this tank would sure feed a good number of them.

Good for you, Thierry.

Speaking of sensible spending, check out Thierry’s first purchase for his new aquarium after the jump.
