Since when did soccer parents become the symbol of overprotective, fanatical figures who sabotage their kid’s athletics?

One football dad may force us to rethink the stereotype.

Missouri parent Jay Forney has waged a war against the Maryville (Mo.) R-II School Board after his son Cole was suspended from athletics for involvement in a high school party that contained illegal activities.

But that means my son will miss his senior year of football! NOOOOOO!!!!

So after losing his case in the court of law, Jay has lost his mind and taken things to the streets (STREETS!).

He set up large plywood signs on his property containing messages like: School Board Hitler’s Followers, and Maryville High School Communism.

Hmmm … seems a little over the top to me. The soccer moms after the jump disagree, though.
