The 2014 World Cup just got REAL. FIFA has announced that the stunning armadillo you see above will serve as the official mascot for the event in Brazil.
The armadillo has yet to receive a name, and the Brazilian population will get the chance to vote between three options – Amijubi (representing friendliness and joy), Fuleco or Zuzeco (which refer to ecological messages) … so yeah, the excitement just keeps building.
Where’s Sonic The Hedgehog when you need him? (I know, I know … Sega Genesis). I mean if you’re going to take a great event and randomly add a mascot to it, why not go all the way?
