Will someone explain to Navy’s Lizzy Rullan that scoring backheel goals are kind of a big deal? Tell her she has a license to celebrate a little; do a cartwheel, jump on a teammate’s back, run to the sidelines throw on one high heel and stroll around like it’s a cat walk.

All of those options were in play but instead Lizzy made this look as routine as putting on shin guards before a match (which is harder than it looks in my experience).

You won’t believe this: but this was actually the game-winning goal for Navy in their 3-2 victory over James Madison and was also the FIRST goal of Lizzy’s career. Let me repeat that: Lizzy scored the FIRST goal of her career on a game-winning backheel and she walked off like she was heading for biology class.
