US Soccer reportedly set to announce new women’s pro league

Written by The 91st

The struggles of women’s professional soccer have been well documented, but it seems that US Soccer is preparing to give it another go.

Soccer Wire is reporting that a new women’s league is on the horizon and will include involvement from Boston Breakers, Chicago Red Stars, Western New York Flash and Sky Blue FC (N.J.),  as well as four clubs in Kansas City, Portland, Ore., Seattle and Washington, D.C.

This would be encouraging news after the fall of the Women’s Professional Soccer League. This is too big of an issue to just give up on.
