One of the stories of the U.S.’s 2-2 draw with Mexico on Wednesday (you can read my retro diary over at The Shin Guardian here) was Eddie Johnson’s improperly disallowed goal for offside in the waning minutes. EJ was kept onside by Clint Dempsey’s excellent through ball, but the assistant raised the flag, and the teams shared the spoils.
Jurgen Klinsmann’s snap reaction to the whole affair was splendid. Like most in the crowd, I’m sure. Sheer jubilation (Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots celebration!) followed immediately by disdain. The USMNT Fan in Chief.
