We’re back. Goals. So many college goals. An avalanche of college goals. Hope you’re ready to be buried by greatness.
Our three combatants this week are Kentucky’s Napo Matsoso on the men’s side, and from the women’s side, we have LSU’s Natalia Gomez-Junco and Washington’s Sam Kokoska. A unifying theme in these goals? None of them were in the box. And they may, in fact, cause hysterical blindness. You’ve been warned.
First up is Matsoso, who’s golazo came at a critical time for Kentucky. The Wildcats had taken just one point from their previous three games headed into the weekend, and an away game against a quality 4-2 Marshall squad awaited. The game was scoreless into the 79th minute before Matsoso did this. The amount of individual skill it takes to guide this down like a falling leaf and then finish in a phone booth is worthy of all your claps.
Next up is Gomez-Junco, who put in the shift of her life in an SEC match against visiting Georgia last week. LSU dropped its first conference game of the season, and visiting Georgia threatened to make it two straight with a 3-1 lead at one point. The Tigers closed the gap to 3-2, and Gomez-Junco scored the next two to give the Tigers the much-needed W. This insane free kick (which made No. 8 on the SportsCenter Top 10) was her first. Watch the swerve on this. The keeper is leaping at shadows.
Guess who made tonight’s #8 play on the #SCtop10?! That’s right @ngomezjunco! #WorldClassFreeKick @SportsCenter pic.twitter.com/lLPWs5uuWp

Finally, we trek to the great Northwest, where Washington extended its winning streak to seven games with a 2-1 win over Portland last week. The winner in that game came courtesy of redshirt freshman Kokoska, who got her first career goal on an absolutely screamer from long range. Incredible ability to shade this just inside the post to keep the Huskies’ train rolling.

Now it’s your turn. You know the drill. Voting closes at noon (PT) on Wednesday.
UPDATE: Congrats to LSU’s Natalia Gomez-Junco, who won this week’s GOTW in a landslide. We’ll see you next week. Don’t forget to submit if you see a fun one.
