Fabrice Muamba, on the verge of death two weeks ago when he suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field, appears to be on the road back to recovery.
This is the first image of Muamba since the incident – tweeted by his wife – and shows the upright and smiling Bolton midfielder. A good sign indeed.
Doctors said that Muamba’s heart stopped for a full 78 minutes and that his recovery held no guarantees. But as shown above, the prognosis is steadily improving.
