Analyzing the 2018 Top 150 Winter Update
The 2018 IMG Top 150 girls class is jam-packed with talented players up and down the list. It’s a sign of the recruiting times, too, that nearly all of the class’s top talent is already spoken for. If you’ve waited to snag a top player more than two years out from their graduation date, godspeed.
This is the last full year we’ll have an ECNL-only field before the U.S. Soccer-run girls Development Academy fires up in 2017. Whatever that does to the player pool, the current crop is certainly turning heads.
Our rankings recently underwent a routine winter shift to reflect that, and the 2018s were on the block last week. You can see what that looks like in full here.
Needless to say, there was plenty of movement amongst the nation’s top players. Today, we take an in-depth dive at what it all means, the players who leapt into the catbird seat and who to watch as the 2015-16 season begins to dwindle to its conclusion.
