Boys ECNL: Independence win title

Right before the rains came from Tropical Storm Elsa, a champion was crowned at the Boys ECNL National Playoffs.

Charlotte Independence SC captured the U18/19 national title, holding on for a 1-0 win against San Diego Surf in an extremely close matchup down in Greensboro.
Chase Gilley (UNC Greensboro) accounted for the winning goal.

Surf controlled possession for long portions of the game as the Independence looked to score in transition. Lucas Hatsios, Joseph Skinner and Noah Smith also played for Independence.
