The inaugural weekend of the MLS Next league kicked off last weekend. There were a number of clubs in action to kick off the campaign for the newest endeavor into a national youth soccer league in the United States.
Some MLS academies got their first taste of competition again while some old Development Academy clubs reminded everyone that MLS is not always the best in youth development.
TopDrawerSoccer highlights some of the individual standouts from MLS Next and Boys ECNL games below. If you would like to report a score or a standout from the action, please email rankings@topdrawersoccer.com.
