The big news of the past week in the ECNL was the cancelation of the National Event in Phoenix in April. An email seeking clarification from the league was not answered as of Monday. ECNL has now canceled two events in a row following the weather-related cancel of the event in Houston in February.
Despite the lack of events left on the calendar, the league is still pushing forward toward a playoff event in June/July. There were a number of meaningful games in the league over this past weekend. The Utah clubs hosted the two Real Colorado teams over the weekend, which was a battle of some of the best teams in the country. There were some top games in the Northeast, So Cal, and at Dallas Cup as well.
