Girls Academy Standouts: Nov. 8-9
While the names of the youth soccer leagues have changed over the past year, the carryover accomplishments deserve the same amount of attention. Houston Dash forward Haley McWhirter broke an important threshold in youth soccer recently with her 100th goal/assist from league play in the Texas/Frontier Conference.
McWhirter was a terror in the Development Academy for the past three seasons, and she has kept that hot streak alive in the newly formed Girls Academy League. McWhirter is up to 112 goals/assists combined between the two leagues after another standout weekend for her squad.
Check out the standouts from this weekend in the Girls Academy League below. If you would like to recommend a player for the weekly standouts list, please email rankings@topdrawersoccer.com.
