The game of the weekend in the Development Academy was in Southern California as the last two U17 teams with unbeaten records in both league and cup competition when SC Blues and Legends squared off.
The fixture ended in a 1-1 draw as top rated prospects Josie Master and Kayla Colbert scored for their respective teams. Legends battled for nearly the final 60 minutes of the game while playing down a player due to a red card. Legends goalkeeper Hannah Arneson made an outstanding save on a left-foot shot from Riley Gleason in the second half to secure the point for Legends. Arneson was clutch on a number of saves for Legends.
The result of the game leaves the Beach FC and Legends tied for the top spot in the Southwest Division. Check out the standouts from the game and the standouts from every game last weekend in the Girls Development Academy below.
