The new year marks the beginning of a crucial stretch for the U.S. women’s youth national teams.
The 2024 edition of the Under-17 Women’s World Cup is set for October of this year in the Dominican Republic.
This year’s qualifying tournament will be held in Mexico, kicking off on February 1. With a Concacaf nation hosting it, only two teams from the region will qualify – leaving the United States with a smaller margin for error.
A final U.S. camp is set to take place this week, beginning on January 3 in California. The top 07s in the country have been summoned, looking to make a case for a roster spot. Several players have been involved since the 2022 edition of the U15 Concacaf Championship, looking to maintain a spot and help the U.S. reach the World Cup.
Here’s a look at five players to know that are looking to earn a spot on the tournament roster.
