Top girls from id2 camp in Charleston
U.S. Club Soccer’s final spring id2 Program Training Camp wrapped up Sunday in Charleston, SC, and TopDrawerSoccer.com saw some impressive performances from these girls born in 1999.
Mary Johnston, Crossfire Premier
Johnston is the leading scorer on the Crossfire ECNL squad that leads the Northwest Conference and is ranked #20 in the TeamRank Top 25, but she really shined as a left back at camp. Her defensive efforts were outstanding over the weekend, and she did not let anyone forget about her ability to finish, making no mistake when given the opportunity to add to her team’s total on Friday.
Kori Locksley, Freestate SA
This tall forward plays for Freestate SA’s U14 ECNL team, was speedy and performed well. She displayed a soft touch, as well as a knack for when to time her runs behind defenses, though she was unable to find the back of the net during her time in South Carolina.
